Today we're going to take a break from our regularly scheduled blog posts to update our customers on the precautionary measures being taken by American Machine Works, Inc. during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of March 29, 2020, American Machine Works, Inc. remains open as an essential business provider during this global crisis. We provide and repair parts for critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, nuclear, and water thus making our continued operations absolutely necessary for the uninterrupted and worldwide functioning of these crucial sectors.
The following measures have been put into place at American Machine Works, Inc. as a response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
• All non-essential employees of American Machine Works, Inc. are to work from home effective Monday March 16, 2020 until further notice.
• All essential employees are to practice social distancing at a distance of no less than the 6’ as outlined by the Center for Disease Control. This is including but not limited to the machine shop, locker room, and any common areas.
• All common areas will be continually disinfected.
• Any essential employee feeling ill is asked to remain home and is under no circumstances to enter the American Machine Works, Inc. facility.
• All essential employees are to wash hands before and after eating, using the restroom, and packaging parts.
• Any essential employee packaging parts for shipment is required to wear gloves.
• No unauthorized personnel is permitted within the American Machine Works facility. Anyone attempting to enter the facility will be asked to leave the premises. Absolutely no solicitations are permitted at this time.
